7 Ways We Sabotage Our Relationships with Maria K. Lewis Actress | CEO & Founder – SizzleHearts.com
“At Sizzlehearts we use Videos, Specialty Ads, and Social Networking tools to help you find long-term love and your life’s true purpose. Personality & purpose-led connections are encouraged.”
In todays’ video, I am a guest on Maria’s show. The one thing I love to do is collaborate with others when it comes to all things love and relationships. I have been blessed to meet so many amazing people along my journey in this business and I will continue to expand and embrace the new connections that join me on my path.
Maria contacted me on Linkedin and asked me to be a part of her show. She resides in beautiful Trinidad and Tobago which made me feel nostalgic about not being able to fly away to somewhere warm and sunny. Hopefully, that will change soon and then we can all resume our regular travel plans once again.
Maria wanted to discuss why some men and women sabotage their dating life and having a potential relationship and what we can do to avoid this from happening in the future. We talk about what we can do to change our behavior. This will not only improve our dating experience, it will also help remove some of the repetitive patterns that we may not even know that we were engaging in.
Quite often our actions and behavior are subconscious but when we finally acknowledge there is an unhealthy pattern happening, it can eventually be removed to allow happiness back into our lives.
It is important to own your part in what you may be doing to sabotage love from coming into your world but even more imperative that you understand you deserve to be in a loving partnership. <3
We don’t always comprehend that we are very much in charge of the people we bring toward us and who we allow into our life. It is also just as important to understand that you have the same power over who you push away as well. Once you realize this is totally in your control, you can then start to work on repairing the internal dialogue that is keeping you stuck in repeat sabotage mode.
Thoughts really are powerful and can hold you hostage. They can also bring great things toward you when you think positively. Put energy into what you do have in your life and put less focus on what you don’t have. I’m not trying to sound like a hallmark greeting card here, but I do want to relay how optimistic affirmations really can bring great things into your life!
So what are the 7 Ways We Sabotage Our Relationships?
- Being too judgmental and too picky. (Your checklist is way too long.)
- Wanting instant gratification.
- Telling your date all about your negative traits!
- Sharing too much information TMI. You don’t know them yet!
- Not caring about your appearance. “First impressions make or break a second date.”
- Dating a “type” that isn’t working for you!
- Internal Dialogue that causes doubt.
