Do You Give More Than You Receive in Your Relationships?

Are you feeling down because you’re not getting the love and support you really desire from your partner, friends or family?

In today’s weekly video and blog post I discuss the topic: Do You Give More Than You Receive in Your Relationships? Respecting yourself first will get you the respect you want from others.

If you don’t want to be taken for granted it’s time to have some boundaries and build up your confidence, so people do not keep taking advantage of you!

Your life is important too, it’s not just all about them!

Giving so much love and not having it reciprocated can be very emotionally draining. It can also take a huge toll on your self-esteem and make you start questioning yourself more and more.

When a partnership of any type becomes one-sided, it just isn’t a good fit for anyone involved. Giving or taking too much in any relationship can be quite depressing over time and isn’t a healthy environment to live in.

If you feel that by not being there 24/7 for your partner will cause problems between you as a couple, you need to reevaluate what you’re getting out of this situation. Are you giving up your own needs because you are catering to them so much?

Do you even take time to think about what YOU want in your life? Do you have any personal goals?

If you are taking a back seat to live for someone else’s needs you are not allowing yourself to live your best life. It is never too late for you to you to change that.

  1. Right on. Just happened to me with someone I considered my brother. Once I gave him the utimatum, I started to have respect from him.
